Powerful APIs and Web Services for Customer Communications
enPower and its foundation of APIs and Web Services is the key to giving new life to legacy systems. enPower is more than just a technical interface that sits on top of a database. It functions as a complete business model that empowers organizations to stay agile and utilize emerging technologies without needing to rip out and replace existing legacy infrastructure.
The largest print service providers, financial institutions, insurance companies, healthcare payers & providers, and government institutions rely on Crawford Technologies enPower APIs and Web Services to build their own Cloud platforms, coordinate their Automated Document Factories (ADFs), integrate their content archives, and transform their customer communications into mobile-ready and accessible formats for the blind and partially sighted.
Increase Flexibility: enPower lets companies pivot between different business objectives quickly and with ease. To optimize, monetize, and accelerate enterprise digital transformation initiatives, companies rely on enPower to realize new business goals faster, launch new offerings quicker, and create better customer experiences.
Achieve Remote Access: enPower offers endpoints for any internet-connected devices including production printers, application servers, databases, mobile phones, Web browsers and any other modern application or device. That means employees can easily access information, devices and equipment from any remote work site.
Many organizations continue to use legacy systems to deliver specific functionalities for print, mail, electronic delivery, and document archiving, which are integral to their operations. These systems were built in a different era and do not support the implementation and adoption of modern applications and technologies like the Cloud, web services, and data integration. That makes them extremely difficult to replace and it makes it difficult for organizations to compete in a data-heavy, Internet-connected world.
Therefore, organizations must weigh their options when choosing how best to modernize and stay relevant in their market. Organizations who choose to do nothing about their legacy systems will make their business’ irrelevant or obsolete and making the wrong choice will cause them more pain, money, and IT complexity.
Customer Success Story
A large American stock brokerage had embarked on a strategic initiative to modernize the applications that their frontline staff use. With over 13,000 financial advisors on staff, more than 300,000 trades were executed each day. This volume caused a problem within the new system when printing the trade confirms since their Print Service Provider couldn’t handle more than 300,000 individual jobs each day within their SLAs. With PRO Concatenator the brokerage firm is able to automatically batch 50,000 to 100,000 confirmations together into a single file, while simultaneously converting the output to a fully optimized AFP file, supporting their print provider in being more efficient.
PRO Developer Software Development Kit
The PRO Developer Software Development Kit (SDK) provides the development environment for creating applications that use the PRO low-code Application Programming Interface (PRO API) and/or the PRO Dynamic Document API (DD API).
PRO API and PRO Dynamic Document API
PRO API and PRO Dynamic Document API are used to extract data from print files, transform print files from one format to another or to create documents in different print formats. They allow developers to create custom application programs that require the ability to read from:
- Xerox Metacode
- Xerox LCDS print streams
- Advanced Function Presentation (AFP)
PRO Dynamic Document Archive API
PRO Dynamic Document Archive API allows archived print stream data to be retrieved in the format required on a request-by-request basis from a single source of data. It can be used to plug into any type of archival, ECM, CSP and CCM system to handle archive management of advanced print stream file formats including AFP, PDF, PCL, Xerox Metacode, XML, and others.
PRO Mail Tracker API
PRO Mail Tracker API allows organizations to implement individual mail piece tracking and manage the information enabled by the USPS Intelligent Mail® barcode (IMB). It can track mail pieces through their entire life cycle, both internally and externally, for both outbound and inbound mail. As mail pieces are tracked, they can be integrated with internal production systems such as an Automated Document Factory (ADF) system or Reprint process.
PRO Unique ID Manager
PRO Unique ID Manager is a cross-platform application programming interface that allow mail tracking applications to interact with the PRO Document Tracking database server to obtain, reserve and lock unique IDs, required by USPS, from the unique ID tracking files. It has been optimized to run at high speed on virtually all computer platforms. The thread-safe design of the PRO Unique ID Manager API supports multiple function instances simultaneously for use in large multi-user applications.
Sunrise is a modern Web services REST API that is used to create custom, multi-threaded, content transformations. It integrates with legacy archive systems, enterprise content management (ECM) repositories and content services platforms (CSP) to retrieve transactional content and convert it into web-ready content formats. Content transformations are done in real time, within process and with extremely high throughput for thousands of concurrent users without limits to content type, volume, and location.
CCM Gateway and PRO Archiver
CCM Gateway and PRO Archiver capture high volume customer communications created by line business systems and document composition tools, then transforms the content (typically into PDF/A), indexes individual documents and stores the results in selected Microsoft SharePoint, Hyland Alfresco and Hyland Nuxeo archive repositories.
Riptide® is used to retrieve customer communications in a batch process from enterprise content management (ECM) repositories and content services platforms (CSP). It converts the documents into a common format, e.g., PDF/A and packages the content into digital output bundles.
