Open Standards

PRO Archiver transforms enterprise reports to ISO standard PDF or PDF/A. This ensures archiving integrity and long­term accessibility. PRO Archiver also utilizes XML as a standard format for storing metadata which enables greater application integration.

Integration with PRO Dynamic Document Archive Technology

PRO Archiver Version 3.0 now allows our customers to archive AFP and Metacode in their native formats without the need to transform to PDF prior to archiving. This is achieved by integrating the capabilities of Crawford Technologies Dynamic Document Archiving solution. Benefits include complete AFP and Metacode print-stream archival (including resources), faster retrieval for re-print needs and the ability to transform and view in PDF on retrieval. 

When combined with EMC Documentum Retention Policy Services, PRO Archiver enables reports to be managed as formal records, while applying retention and policy driven disposition with little end­user involvement.

Content Management Services

When combined with EMC Documentum Content repository reports can be collaborated on, managed as part of Workflow and integrated with other content types while leveraging common policies such as security.

PRO Archiver captures day ­forward reports from line­ of­ business systems and provides an alternative to legacy report archiving silos by enabling transformation of proprietary formats to ISO ­standard PDF or PDF/A. All content is transformed, indexed, and stored directly into the EMC Documentum Content repository.

Extracted metadata attributes can drive workflows, security policies, taxonomies and retention policies. The archived reports assume all the characteristics and benefits of managed content, including managed accessibility, records management, and the ability to make documents actionable via workflow.
